All Information on Parcel Delivery

Package deliveries are permitted only if they do not exceed 30 packages. If the delivery exceeds 30 packages, then they must be placed on a pallet. Creating multiple shipments within a short time to reduce the number of packages per delivery is not permitted. The FBK warehouse reserves the right to deny acceptance in case of an obvious abuse of the framework conditions.

1. Transportation packaging for parcel deliveries

The outer packaging used for delivery to a FBK warehouse must be six-sided; otherwise, it cannot be processed by our machinery. It must also be reliably closed, so that it does not open during transportation and so that the product is not damaged.

The package must be able to withstand moderate pressure on all sides without deforming. It must be ensured that the package is not crushed by the pressure applied to it through contact with other packages (<=31.5 KG) during transportation by a package service provider.

The box must withstand a fall test from a height of approx. 120 cm. The box must withstand at least one fall on each side and on a corner without opening.

The outer packaging must be made of cardboard, and may not be packaged in other materials (such as film).

The packaging may have no movable or loose parts that could damage the product or pierce the box from the inside.

2. Declaration on loose package deliveries

When you have loose package deliveries, each package in the shipment must have an FBK delivery note either inside of the package or attached to the package in a shipping pocket. Only delivery notes printed in original format on DIN A4 paper are permitted. Delivery notes must not be packed inside or attached to the packaging of the product itself. Otherwise, the carton has to be opened in receiving, which would make the item B-goods.

Each package must include both the sender’s and recipient’s address. You will be provided a label with barcodes for each of your packages in the Seller Portal. The FBK barcode label must be affixed to each package. If there is enough space on the package, please put this label on the same side of the package as the shipping label. If the packages are too small, you may need to put them on separate sides of the package.

Please note: Each label may be used only once. If labels are missing or are duplicates, these packages cannot be processed in the FBK warehouse.

The shipping and FBK barcode labels must be attached to the packages so that they are easily legible from the outside and do not cover any of the package’s seams.

SIOC products delivered as a PU must be inside of an additional outer packaging for shipment to the FBK warehouse. The SIOC box may not be used as a shipping box for shipment to the FBK warehouse!

  • Package deliveries consist of a maximum of 30 loose packages
  • Six-sided, securely sealed outer packaging
  • Packaging must pass both pressure and fall test
  • Outer packaging may not be packaged in other materials
  • The delivery note must be placed in each parcel or attached to a shipping bag
  • Sender and recipient address
  • Do not attach shipping or barcode labels over any seams
  • Attach shipping and barcode labels on the same side of the package

We strongly recommend that you do not ship SIOC (Ships In Own Container) products via parcel post. If the products’ packaging were damaged during logistical transportation, the products might no longer fulfil our SIOC standards. If you ship products as SIOC to our warehouses, please consider the following suggestions:

  • Our receiving staff has to prepare the product packaging to be shipped to customers (e.g. peeling off shipping labels). This will incur extra service costs that will be charged to you monthly.
  • These products cannot be sent to customers as SIOC. That means they must fit in our standard packaging.

We recommend sending SIOC products via pallets or containers. This will increase customer satisfaction and reduce time and costs during the receiving process.

3. Loss of packages during transportation

To better track the delivery status of a shipment, we recommend you save the tracking numbers of all pallets/packages. Each tracking number should also be entered in the Seller Portal with the shipment it is a part of.

We do not record tracking numbers in our receiving process. We are able to confirm which package number (information on the FBK barcode label) has been delivered on request. In order to identify undelivered packages, the sender must be able to match the tracking number with the package number. This is done outside of the Seller Portal (e.g. in Excel, WMS).

We will only conduct individual checks of goods received at the seller’s request if shipment tracking indicates that all pallets/packages in a shipment were successfully delivered to the FBK warehouse. Before submitting an enquiry, the seller must confirm the proof of delivery from the transportation service provider.

It is the seller’s responsibility to clarify the whereabouts of any pallets/packages that were not delivered with the shipping company. This is not the recipient’s responsibility.

Summary

  • Keep track of your tracking numbers and enter them in the Seller Portal
  • Assign package numbers (1/10) to each tracking number
  • Only submit individual checks to Seller Support if you have verification from the shipping service provider that all pallets/packages were successfully delivered
  • Seller is responsible for determining whereabouts of any missing pallets/packages
