Product requirements
Here you can find out which product types are accepted for FBK, and which product types cannot yet be sent with FBK.
Accepted product types
Your products must have the following features to be accepted for FBK:
New products | The products need to be new. | |
Packaged products | The products must be packaged so that they are not damaged during receiving, storage, dispatch, shipment and delivery to the customer. Products need to be packaged using a sealed bag, shrink wrap, or box. Products should be packaged so that they: pass the fall test without being damaged pass the shaking test without being damaged. | |
Products with GTIN barcode | Each product needs to have a GTIN barcode on the packaging. |
Product types not accepted
The following product types are not yet covered by FBK.
No products with expiration dates | e.g. food, drinks, plants, advent calendars with sweets. | |
No dangerous/hazardous products | Dangerous goods (also called hazmat) are substances or materials that may pose a risk during storage, handling, or transport because they contain flammable, pressurised, explosive, corrosive, or otherwise harmful substances. Products with lithium batteries are approved under certain conditions, as well as SodaStreams. You can find more information under Product Safety and Hazardous Goods. This includes insulation and glue sticks, for example. | |
No clothing-related items | e.g. shoes*, shoe accessories, clothing, hats, bags. *Slipper excluded | |
No hygienic products | e.g. cosmetics, contact lenses, pillows, razors and razor accessories, anti-ageing creams, baby blankets. | |
No jewellery or jewellery accessories | e.g. jewellery boxes, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, jewellery sets, rings, beads, charms. | |
No heat-sensitive products | We are not able to provide temperature-controlled logistics services, which would mean that we cannot be liable for damage to temperature-sensitive products (e.g. due to freezing or high temperatures). Products should not have extra or special storage needs based on temperature. | |
No liquids | e.g. drinks, eye creams. | |
No age restricted items | e.g. alcohol, cigarettes, adult films/video games | |
No product that requires petrol, oil or other potentially dangerous substances | e.g. lighters, stoves, stove accessories, oil suction pumps. | |
No multi-colli items | No products that are required to be sent in multiple packages, e.g. multi-piece furniture | |
No overweight & oversized products | There are size and weight limits for FBK packages. You can find the exact dimensions and the associated fees on the FBK Conditions page. | |
No chairs | e.g. office chairs, dining room chairs, swivel stools, bar stools, rolling stools, commode chairs. | |
No prepaid phone cards | ||
No shisha, e-cigarettes & accessories | ||
No heating & water heater | ||
No weapons and fake weapons | This also includes items such as toy weapons/weapons that are costume accessories. | |
No medical equipment | ||
No products that are alive |
If you’re not sure whether certain products are approved for FBK:
You can use the Seller Portal to search by individual EANs, categories or product titles to check whether these are currently approved for FBK or not.
To do so, navigate in the Seller Portal to Offer Management > Offers > FBK inventory > Create FBK offer. Click on the Product Search tab. If you search for a product by EAN or item name and it is in one of the restricted categories, the right side of the search result will also show you the word “Prohibited”. If the product is allowed, you can create an FBK offer for it by clicking +Create FBK offer on the right side.
- You can also open the “Own Inventory” tab to see which items in your shop are prohibited for FBK.
- Please note: These prohibited items are only off-limits for FBK. They are still permitted for your regular offers.
