Vouchers

You can offer pricing discounts as vouchers on product detail pages, in search results and in recommenders on Kaufland Global Marketplace. Create your own vouchers for selected offers and keep full control of your discount campaigns at all times.

How do I create vouchers?

You can create your vouchers directly in the Seller Portal under the Services menu item. There, you will find a tile with the topic Vouchers.

To create your own vouchers as a registered seller, you will first need valid offers on the sales channels you want to activate vouchers for. Once you’ve done that, you can create your vouchers by following these five steps:

  1. General information
In the first step, select the sales channel you want to activate the voucher for. Each voucher created is only activated on the selected sales channel. Then give your voucher campaign a name. This is only visible to you and helps give you an overview. Then, set the validity period for your voucher. We recommend letting your campaign run for at least a week to make it profitable. The maximum validity period for a campaign is four weeks.
  2. Add products
In order to offer vouchers, you must first select at least one product with a valid offer. To better filter your products, you can search by EAN, manufacturer, title or other attributes. Up to 2,000 products can be selected for vouchers. You can add products manually via the product list or upload a text file with a list of EANs (Download example text file with EANs).
  3. Set the discount
In the third step, you need to set your desired discount. The discount can be entered as a percentage or in euros, and will be applied to all of your selected offers. If you would like to offer various discounts, please create a new voucher.
  4. Define your sales
In the next step, you will specify how many vouchers you will offer. Vouchers are valid until 11:59 PM on the last day of their validity period. The number of vouchers you create will determine your maximum voucher fee, which you will pay if all vouchers are redeemed. We charge a fee of €0.49 for each voucher redeemed.
  5. Submit the offer
The last step gives you the chance to review your voucher details once more and then submit the voucher. The voucher you have just created will then be shown in the overview list with a status of “planned”. Click on the name of any of your vouchers to see a detailed results page for that voucher.
Edit voucher & extend validity period

You can edit your vouchers in your Voucher Settings. For a better overview, filter your voucher campaigns according to sales channel. Click on the three-dot menu to the right of your offers to display the “Edit” option for your voucher. Another way to make edits is to click the Edit voucher button in the top-right corner of the Your voucher details page. Here you can make the following changes:

  • Campaign name
  • Campaign time period
  • Maximum number of redemptions
  • Value of discount (only before the first redemption)
When will my voucher campaign end?

The time period and number of vouchers are management tools you can use as reference values to manage your campaign. If the time expires before all of your vouchers have been redeemed, the voucher campaign ends. If all vouchers are redeemed before the time period ends, the campaign will likewise be stopped.

Once 90 percent of your vouchers have been activated, the vouchers will be hidden on our marketplace so that the number of available vouchers is exceeded as rarely as possible. Therefore, it is possible that fewer or more vouchers will be redeemed than the number you have defined. If a voucher has already been activated, however, it can still be redeemed on a purchase. Only one voucher can be redeemed per purchase.

Voucher conditions
  • Vouchers are applied to all of your offers (shipped by seller & FBK).
  • Vouchers cannot be provided for used products.
  • Vouchers will be prioritised based on when they were created: If an offer is assigned multiple vouchers with overlapping time periods, the customer will be shown the voucher that was created most recently.
  • Vouchers can be created only for valid, non-blocked offers.
  • For all vouchers offered, sellers must bear the return costs if the price of the item after redeeming the voucher discount is below the following amounts per sales channel:
    • Germany: €40
    • Czech Republic: 990 CZK
    • Slovakia: €40
    • Poland: 175 zł
    • Austria: €40
We have this requirement in place to ensure the voucher campaign remains beneficial for our mutual customers. If you do not agree to this, you can remove the relevant offers in the Voucher Settings.
  • If vouchers are redeemed and the order value drops below your specified minimum order value for free shipping, then this will have no influence on shipping costs.

Example: In your shipping group, you entered a minimum order value of €20 for free shipping. If the amount after redeeming the voucher drops from €21 to €19, then the customer still will not pay shipping costs.
