Onboarding
Have you successfully registered as a Kaufland Global Marketplace seller? Now apply the relevant settings for each country sales channels you would like to sell on. This 8-step check list will help you get up and running.
1. Shipping groups
You must define your shipping groups before you can create your offers. This is so that your items can be assigned to the appropriate shipping costs, shipping types (e.g. package, hauler delivery), destination countries and transport times.
Apply the settings in the Seller Portal under Settings > Shipping settings.
For more information go to Seller University: Shipping settings
2. Offers
You can already list product data (in the local language) and offer data (in the local currency) for the new sales channels. Offer data includes information from the seller regarding prices, delivery times, and item condition. Product data is information that describes a product and presents its properties and technical details. You can attach your offers to existing product data or create new product data that will be included in the Kaufland Global Marketplace catalogue. Each seller can then access this product data and use it for their own offers.
Apply the settings in the Seller Portal under Offer Management > Offers.
For more information go to Seller University: Offer data.
3. Tax information
As a seller in the EU, all you need to do is add your OSS number if you didn’t enter it during registration. If you have already done this, the tax information item in your onboarding will already be ticked off. You do not need to go through separate tax registrations for each country.
Apply the settings in the Seller Portal under Settings > Shop settings > Tax information.
For more information go to Seller University: Tax registration
4. Legal texts
In order to sell on the Kaufland marketplaces, you are obligated to provide correct and complete legal texts. Please enter the necessary data and legal texts in the input screens provided for this purpose.
These consist of:

- Contact information for the authorised representative
- Registry court/commercial register

In addition, you should enter your data privacy declaration, GTCs and revocation declaration here. The legal texts must correspond to the local language of the sales channel and must follow local law. Our partner will be happy to assist you.
Apply the settings in the Seller Portal under Settings > Shop settings > Legal texts.
For more information go to Seller University: Legal texts.
5. Company details and EPR compliance
You entered all the required information about your company during the registration process. However, you can also adjust your company details after they has been entered.
The extended producer responsibility (EPR) is an EU directive that makes the producers and distributors of products responsible for their disposal, recycling, and return at the end of their life cycles. Please enter the WEEE number, battery number, LUCID number, and proof of participation in a dual system here for the German sales channel Kaufland.de. Please enter the BDO number for Kaufland.pl and the GLN number for Kaufland.at. Currently, you are not required to enter EPR information to sell on Kaufland.sk and Kaufland.cz.

- Settings > Shop settings > EPR compliance
For more information go to Seller University: EPR guidelines.
