In addition to personal seller support, sellers now also have access to an intelligent chat assistant called “Ailora”. The AI-driven assistant is located in the Seller Portal, the central control element of the Kaufland marketplaces.

AI also helps to generate a deep understanding of one’s own performance on Kaufland marketplaces. Sellers can ask the Ailora chatbot questions and receive tips, such as how their products can win the BuyBox. They can also track important KPIs, like the proportion of items with fast delivery times or how sales for specific products are developing, for example. At the seller’s request, automated translations of product data, legal texts and customer tickets can be created. These lower the language barrier, making it easier for sellers to tap into new markets.
Features such as summarising the most important product characteristics in clear bullet points, optimising product titles and images, and category-specific help with product searches ensure that products are found by exactly the right target group. This increases the chance of sales.
AI-supported optimisation of delivery times also increases sales potential: With the help of the algorithm, sellers can communicate faster and more accurate delivery times, thus making their offers more attractive.

True to the name “Ailora”, AI assistants will then operate in four steps.
- Lead: Recognise where sellers need support and guide them accordingly.
- Optimise: Optimise areas where sellers are not fully exploiting their potential.
- Recommend: Suggest a specific measure (e.g. “Create a Sponsored Product Ads campaign for these products with this budget for the coming month”).
- Automate: After confirmation by the seller, automatically execute or automate the planned action.
